Cheese Popcorn

How to Make It

Ingredients

For the Popcorn

  • Popcorn kernels 90 G
  • Cooking oil 3 TBSP
  • Unsalted butter 4 TBSP

Cheese Seasoning

  • Soonicorn Traditional Cheese Powder 40 G
  • Ground mustard 1/2 TSP
  • Salt 1/4 TSP

Directions

  1. Heat the oil

Add 3 tablespoons of oil and 3 popcorn kernels to a large heavy-bottomed pot. Cover and heat over high heat until the test kernels pop

  2. Prepare the ingredients

Measure the remaining popcorn kernels. Melt the butter and set aside

  3. Pop the popcorn

Once the test kernels pop, add the remaining popcorn kernels. Cover the pot, remove from heat, and gently shake for about 20 seconds. Return to the heat and let the kernels pop

  4. Release excess steam

When the pot is about halfway full, slightly open the lid to release steam while the popcorn continues popping

  5. Finish popping

Gently shake the pot if needed. Once the popping slows significantly, remove from heat and transfer the popcorn to a large bowl

  6. Add butter

Pour the melted butter over the hot popcorn and toss well until evenly coated

  7. Season with Soonicorn Cheese Powder

Sprinkle 30–40 g Soonicorn Traditional Cheese Powder evenly over the popcorn. Add ground mustard if desired, then toss or shake until every piece is well coated

  8. Serve

Taste and add a little fine sea salt if needed. Serve immediately while warm and crispy
